The CRKT Homefront is a unique folding knife that we here at Actually Used Gear Reviews have been using for quite awhile now. This knife has the unique Field Strip Technology designed by Ken Onion. I personally have carried this knife extensively, and I've used and abused it. With the exception of the toggle switch used to latch the knife back into place, it still works flawlessly.
The Blade is 3.5 inch modified drop point made of AUS8 Stainless Steel. The handles are 6061 Aluminum and they have a nice cross hatch type pattern on them. The pocket clip is a nice deep carry style pocket clip, something that I really appreciate. The knife has a WWII theme to it with the bayonet lug style flipper and the GI Star near the pivot. The CRKT Homefront is not an assisted opener and it does kind of need a decent wrist flick to open it one handed. You'll get used to it.

**** A little about us. Both C and M are hardcore outdoorsmen who believe that spending time in nature over time in a city is preferred. Both have noticed a disturbing trend in the Outdoor Gear Review Channel category. That Trend? Channels that get gear and review it without using it. We review only gear that we have used. Some of it we like, some of it not so much. Stay tuned for more!
