On this day I explored an abandoned house in Centralia, Pennsylvania. By abandoned standards this home was in good condition. This was the mayor of the ghost town on fire abandoned house. I've searched the internet for hours trying to find a video of a house in the real silent hill. Finding an abandoned house in Centralia is rare. Only a few homes remain in Centralia (they are occupied) except for one. I'm happy to share what that home looks like inside, as well as the graffiti highway, and the famous church (not inside). I kept this explore simple and I didn't have my retainer in...so I will be talking a little bit more in this video than normal. I also added a brief history on Centralia down below. I hope you enjoy the video and please leave a like or a comment. Thank you for watching and hit that subscribe button for more abandoned videos.
Due due a coal mine fire that has been burning for over 50 years, its a near ghost town. Over the years the population has dwindled from 1,000 residents in 1981 to 10 in 2010. All real estate in the borough was claimed under eminent domain and therein condemned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1992 and Centralia's ZIP code was discontinued by the Postal Service in 2002. State and local officials reached an agreement with the seven remaining residents on October 29, 2013, allowing them to live out their lives there, after which the rights of their houses will be taken through eminent domain.
